Most of these shows and exhibits required the work to be juried into the show so I am very proud of the fact that my work "made the cut" and was selected by each juror.

Art Deco #2 12"x12" (c) 2008-2009 **SOLD** Images by Carolyn Collection, Woodridge, IL This piece is a diminitive 12"x12". It is densely hand quilted with tiny stitches alternating direction in each small division. The wide binding is made from hand dyed fabrics created by the artist. It blends perfectly with the commercial fabrics in the body of the piece.

General exhibit quilt. --Professional Fine Art Network (pFAn) Featured Artist profile, March 2011. --Midland Arts Association 2011 Spring Juried Art exhibition to be held at the Museum of the Southwest in Midland, Texas. Her artwork, Contaminated Water #2 (Pond Scum), is one of the artworks selected for the exhibit. The juror for the exhibition was illustrator Leslie D’Allesandro Hawes of Midland, Texas and Tucson, Arizona. This program is partially supported by the Texas Commission on the Arts and the Arts Assembly of Midland. The exhibition will feature 74 artworks selected from a submisssion pool of 257 pieces. The exhibition opens on March 10, 2011 with an opening reception and awards presentation.of over $4,000 in monetary awards to exhibiting artists. **This artwork won one of 23 Juror Awards presented at the opening reception.** The exhibition closes on April 10, 2011. Contaminated Water #3 (Sludge) 15"x 42" (38 x 107cm) (c) 2010 --Professional Fine Art Network (pFAn) Featured Artist profile, March 2011. --Arts in Harmony 2011: 16th Annual International Fine Art Exhibition at the Sherburne County Government Center, Elk River, Minnesota: February 7, 2011 to March 24, 2011. The jurors for the exhibition were Lyndell King, director and chief curator at the Weisman Art Museum at the University of Minnesota, and Barbara Schultz, developer of Minneapolis College of Art and Design’s (MCAD) current comic art curriculum and MCAD’s Distant Learning comic art courses. They selected 220 artworks from a pool of 855. The opening reception and awards presentation is February 13, 2011 from 1 to 3:30pm. Each week a selection of art quilts by some of the top art quilters in the world were offered for sale starting at $750. Each day the price dropped for any unsold pieces until the minimum bid price of $75 is reached. **Over 266 art quilts sold .**

Forty five artworks were selected from a pool of 203 submissions by exhibit juror Chucha Barber, Chief Executive Officer of the Mary Brogan Museum of Art and Science.
Scribble #2 (Black Pathways) 15.25" x 22" (38 x 56cm) (c) 2009 --Mesa Contemporary Arts’ 31st Annual Contemporary Crafts exhibition in Mesa, Arizona at the Mesa Arts Center: January 22 – March 14, 2010. Juror for this exhibition was Jane Sauer, owner of Jane Sauer Gallery in Santa Fe, New Mexico. 52 artworks from 42 artists were selected from a field of 357. The opening reception was January 22, 2010. --SAAC (South Arkansas Arts Center) 2010 Annual Juried Fine Art Competition July 2 to July 30, 2010. The exhibit is at the South Arkansas Arts Center in El Dorado, Arkansas. The artist reception and awards presentations were July 17, 2010 from 6:00pm to 7:30pm. Juror of this exhibition is David Houston, chief curator of the Ogden Museum. Mr. Houston selected 38 artworks from 347 submitted pieces. My artwork was the only art quilt in the exhibition.

This exhibit includes art of all media. Artists reception is September 18th from 5 to 7pm. ** This piece won the First Place Award in the Fiber Category at the show. --Nineteenth Annual Juried Art Exhibition at the MacRostie Art Center in Grand Rapids, Minnesota August 2 - 29, 2011. This exhibit was open to artists residing in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, North Dakota, and South Dakota, working in 2 and 3-dimensional mediums. Thirty seven artworks were selected from a pool of 91 submissions by exhibit juror James Klueg, Professor of Art and Head of Department of Art and Design at the University of Minnesota Duluth. Stained Glass Mosaic #2 12.5"x12.5" (30.5 x 30.5cm) (c) 2007-2008 SOLD - Collection of Karey Bresenhan, International Quilt Festival, Houston, Texas. Stained Glass Mosaic #2 was one of over 251 featured pieces in the Studio Art Quilt Associates Reverse Auction which started November 10, 2008. There were three consecutive auctions. The second auction started on November 18, 2008 and the third on November 23, 2008. This piece is also featured by the Crafts Report Magazine online feature, Crafts Insight: Fiber. October 2008 issue, page 4. Stained Glass Mosaic #3 (Ark) 12.5"x12.5" (30.5 x 30.5cm) (c) 2008 - Private Collection (USA) --Academy of Fine Arts Juried Exhibition in Lynchburg, VA. April 4 – April 28, 2008. -- NQA June 2008 Little Quilt Auction, Columbus, Ohio. One of 185 little quilts auctioned off over the 3 days that helped raise $16,170.50 for the Grants Program of NQA (The National Quilting Association, Inc). This was the largest amount ever raised. This little gem has now found a new home while also supporting a wonderful organization.
